Frequently Asked Questions
What makes you different from other agencies?
We are a team of knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated tutors from some of the UK's leading universities. We focus on both tutoring and mentoring, recognising that academic success is about more than just achieving good grades.
We understand the challenges young people face today - we've been there ourselves. Alongside helping students excel academically, we provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help them build confidence, resilience, and self-belief.
Our goal is to help every student reach their full potential both in and beyond the classroom.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Book a free 15-minute consultation where we'll take the time to learn more about your goals, what you'd like to achieve, and your strengths and areas for development.
From there, we'll carefully match you with a tutor who best suits your needs, learning style, and personality.
Once you're connected, you're ready to begin your first lesson and start making progress towards your goals.
How are tutors selected?
Our tutors are carefully selected from some of the UK's leading universities.
Each tutor goes through a rigorous multi-stage selection process: we verify qualifications, assess subject knowledge and teaching experience, and conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate their clarity, engagement, motivational skills, and teaching style. All tutors are DBS checked.
We work with tutors who are knowledgeable, approachable, and dedicated to making a positive impact.
How will you match me with the right tutor?
We offer a free 15-minute, no-obligation consultation to learn more about your goals, strengths, challenges, subjects you need support with, availability, preferred learning style, and any specific requirements. Using this information, we carefully match you with a tutor whose expertise, teaching style, personality, and schedule best suit your needs, helping to create a positive and effective learning experience from the very start.
How often should I have lessons?
We offer three tutoring packages:
Build – 4 sessions per month (one lesson per week)
Ideal for students who want to stay on top of their schoolwork, reinforce learning, and maintain steady progress.
Grow – 8 sessions per month (two lessons per week)
Perfect for students looking for more regular support, additional guidance, and greater accountability.
Excel – 12 sessions per month (three lessons per week)
Designed for students who would benefit from frequent support, intensive preparation, or accelerated progress towards their goals.
If you would like more sessions than those included in our packages, please get in touch and we'll be happy to create a tailored plan to suit your needs.
Can I change tutors if I'm not satisfied?
Absolutely. While we are confident in the quality of our tutors and take great care when matching students, we understand that sometimes the fit may not be quite right. If you're unhappy for any reason, simply get in touch with us and we'll work with you to find a more suitable tutor. Our priority is ensuring every student feels comfortable, supported, and able to get the most out of their learning experience.
Can lessons be cancelled or re-scheduled?
If you cancel a lesson with more than 48 hours' notice, you can reschedule it to another suitable time within the same week at no additional cost.
If you cancel a lesson with less than 48 hours' notice, the session will be charged in full.
How do you monitor the quality of tuition?
All tutors receive ongoing support and are regularly reviewed to ensure a high standard of teaching. We check in with students and parents to make sure progress is being made and goals are being met. We also make sure lessons feel engaging and relevant to you – whether that means linking topics to your personal interests or drawing on your tutor’s own experiences in areas you care about.
Will I get feedback from tutors?
At the end of each month, you will receive a personalised progress report written by your tutor. The report will outline what has been covered during lessons, highlight your child's strengths and achievements, identify any areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for continued progress. This helps keep both students and parents informed and ensures learning goals remain on track.
